2016 Estate Merlot
This is a wonderful example of Merlot from Washington State. It begins with a nose of black cherry, blackberry, and licorice with hints of toasty oak. The mouth is a bold extension of the nose, with more ripe black fruits, dark plum and structured tannins that lead to a pleasantly lingering finish.

Review Of Washington Wines:
This is an attractively styled 100% Merlot. It displays a ruby color and rich aromas of raspberry, cherry, plum, red roses, mulberry, tobacco leaf and incense. The flavors mirror the aromatics with supple yet substantial red fruits that are intermixed with licorice, cocoa, medium roast coffee beans and silty minerals. The chewy textured back reveals pressed berries, roasted pecans, framboise and kirsch liqueurs and pencil lead, followed by a savory moderate tannin and acid finish. 18.5+/20 points.
