It yields plenty of toasty oak, blackberry and black cherry aromas and flavors. Medium- to full-bodied, it has plenty of forward, supple fruit and ripe tannins in its fleshy personality.
Good ruby-red. Plum, violet and chocolatey oak on the nose and palate.
This is a soft, easy-going, forward wine with no hard edges. It offers an attractive cherry and cassis-scented nose, a plush texture, ripe, sweet fruit, and good length.
This new winery—headed by winemaker Mike Berghan—will soon be making all its wines from grapes produced on its 15-acre estate. Visit its beautiful new tasting room for a true taste of the Walla Walla Valley.
It shows a good mix of purple and blue fruits, spicy notes of licorice and vanilla bean, and it makes a lively palate impression.
They produced their first estate grown release, a blend of 58 percent cabernet sauvignon and 42 percent merlot named "Stateline Red" It is designed to be a food-friendly wine, aged 23 months in new French and Hungarian oak.
