The Wine

This 100% Merlot is very indicative of Washington Merlot.  It balances a firm structure with loads of fresh fruit, ripe cherry and wild raspberry.  All of this is underpinned by a hint of nicely integrated vanilla bean, caramel, and toast from the oak.  And the lively acidity makes this the perfect wine to try with a duck breast in a cherry reduction sauce.
